Brinkworth TV is delighted to announce that the 90 minute documentary special, The Abused, has been nominated for a BAFTA in the Television Single documentary category at the 2020 BAFTA awards.
Already a winner of the prestigious Edinburgh Television Festival award for Best Documentary, The Abused tells the story of two victims of domestic abuse, Hazel and Kelly, who were attacked in the same week in Norfolk.
With remarkable access to both the women and the police, this harrowing and multi-award winning documentary reveals the heart-breaking reality of life inside a violent relationship, the fear that prevents them from seeking help and the long and terrifying process the women endure as they wait to find out if the person they once loved will face justice.
