Malcolm is a highly respected Executive Producer with many prestigious, popular and acclaimed series and singles for British and international broadcasters to his credit. With over 30 years in the industry, Malcolm spent many years as an award-winning documentary film-maker, producing and directing programmes for premier slots. He has spent his entire career in primetime factual television creating long running series as well as individual feature length documentaries. He has extensive experience with complex access pieces, innovative and ground-breaking shows, and specialist factual programmes.
Malcolm previously ran another highly successful indie, Touch Productions, before starting Brinkworth Television a few years ago.
Gail joined Brinkworth Productions in 2018 as Head of Production. Gail works with the senior
management team across the slate in the UK and the US.
Before joining Brinkworth, Gail was Head of Production at Optomen Television and Possessed where she oversaw well-known and award-winning shows such as Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares, Employable Me, Gordon Behind Bars, Police Camera Action, Mary Queen of Shops, What Would Be Your Miracle? & 5 Gold Rings.
Susan has a long track record of producing highly successful television. She has created and produced a wide range of acclaimed factual programmes. These include the BBC’s multi-platform current affairs debate show, Free Speech, RTS Award-nominated documentaries for Channel 4, and Can’t Pay? We’ll Take It Away for Channel 5. The series was one of Channel 5’s highest rating programmes for 2014.
Susan has also series produced many long-running factual formats, including BBC2’s The Restaurant. She has also worked extensively in the U.S. and Canada on documentaries and formats.
Xander has been at the forefront of our creative growth over the last few years – successfully developing pioneering shows, driving creative strategy, and negotiating access to sensitive institutions and worldwide brands. Under his leadership, our documentary and specialist factual shows have made global news, received wide spread critical acclaim and have been nominated for multiple industry awards – including Grierson, RTS and Broadcast.
Paul has had a wide-ranging career in radio and television. He’s been an account manager at BskyB, responsible for numerous successful advertising campaigns across the entertainment channels, PR and events. These include many of Sky’s prestigious dramas and factual series as well as Sky Movies campaigns. He was also part of the team that launched the Sky Store and On Demand platform.
More recently he has worked at several indies on a range of factual series and singles, including Vets In The Front Line, The Gift (w/t) and Touch’s hit series about High Court Enforcement agents Can’t Pay? We’ll Take It Away.
With over 20 years of experience in the industry Charlie has directed primetime TV across all factual genres. As a Series Producer/Show Runner he has delivered highly successful documentaries for the BBC (Trawlermen, The Queen’s Cavalry, Crisis on Jimmy’s Farm,) ITV (Ice Rink on the Estate), Channel 4 (The Catch, Jimmy and the Giant Supermarket, Jimmy’s Forest), Discovery Channel (Jungle Gold, Combat Dealers,) and National Geographic (The Raid). He is currently an Executive Producer on Channel 5’s Can’t Pay? We’ll Take It Away.
John has 25 years of experience in the TV and media industries including time spent with UK and multinational broadcasters, internationally successful writers and performing artists and was integral in building several successful production companies in the independent sector across a variety of genres.
John has been with us from the start and is a key member of our management team. John has extensive experience in negotiating complex contracts, managing growth and establishing robust financial structures and systems.
After a career working in the voluntary sector, Anna joined the media industry 17 years ago, cutting her teeth first in the Guardian newsroom before moving on to current affairs programming and access observational documentaries for both Channel 4 and the BBC.
Since then she has produced hundreds of hours of prime-time television working with top Independent companies as well as taking senior positions with the BBC and Channel 5’s production arms. Passionate about storytelling, Anna is committed to delivering editorial and narrative excellence. She is currently the Series Producer for Can’t Pay? We’ll Take It Away.
Matt is a production manager with a strong background in factual programming. Matt has worked on a wide variety of series and singles for a number of major independent companies. He has worked in the UK and abroad, including looking after Discovery’s Wheeler Dealers series based in the United States. Matt has now managed over 30 hours of on Can’t Pay? We’ll Take It Away as well as working on other projects.
Ollie has been with us from the start. He has developed from a researcher into a very valued member of the production team working across a wide range of our programmes. These include access based documentaries as well as specialist factual projects. He now has a wide ranging role developing programmes and working on current productions.
After a decade in broadcast journalism, Row has been part of the production management team at various broadcasters and independent companies for the last four years. She has worked for the BBC (Remembrance Week, Great Continental/British Railway Journeys) Channel 4 (Restoring Britain’s Landmarks) ITV (A Night of Heroes – The Sun Military Awards) before joining the team at Brinkworth. She is currently the Senior Production Coordinator on Can’t Pay? We’ll Take it Away and Accused.
